Trust-Based Relational Intervention
We are committed to not only recruiting more foster and adoptive families but also ensuring that they are equipped to serve well by providing faith-informed, trauma-informed training for those who serve youth in foster care.
Toward that end, both our Executive Director and Director of Programs have been trained as a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) practitioner. TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children.
TBRI® provides foster/adoptive families and children/youth ministry workers with critical tools to effectively engage children from hard places. Fostering Hope trains foster/adoptive families, child welfare professionals and churches in this model to ensure the community is prepared to serve youth in foster care with perseverance and hope.
